Detailed Description
Office Supporters assist with a range of projects and administrative tasks increasing the efficiency of operations/systems and supporting staff in their day to day roles. There is the opportunity to take on leadership roles within the volunteer program and assist directly within projects and programs for the organisation

The position involves data entry, filing, and other general office duties as well as supporting our Coordinators and Managers in their roles.

You may be required to approach and talk to managers of businesses about our loyalty program, assist in helping find speakers for our information sessions. Help collate data as part of our research program or help find events that we can participate in.

You will be required to help with our fundraising program and our annual Unmask Fibromyalgia Masquerade Ball as well as being available to set up and help with our quiz nights etc.

You may be required to help post/share our events on social events, newspapers, radio and other forms of media.

As a vital member of the team, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following attributes and skills:

  • You would be required to fill in at meetings if the Secretary is not available.

  • Excellent team and relationship building skills

  • Ability to multitask & prioritise work

  • Good at problem solving- enjoy a challenge and take ownership to find a solution

  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a team environment

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft publications

  • Ability to communicate through a variety of mediums will be highly regarded

  • Strong levels of initiative, adaptive to change and ability to learn new tasks quickly will be highly regarded

  • Attend monthly Committee Meetings

  • Support Fibro & Us - Fibromyalgia Support Group Vision and Mission Statement at all times and actively promote the group

  • Participate in all relevant induction and training programs

  • Participate in our awareness program and fundraising events

  • Adhere to Dress code of Casual Business attire when promoting Fibro & Us ( When in Office and Attending events

  • Follow  guidance as set out in our volunteers' agreement, code of conduct and constitution

  • Participate at our awareness market/show stalls

  • Shirt (at the president's discretion)

  • ID lanyard provided
